Bruce Berger
Partner, Recapitalization Partners, LLC.
Mr. Berger serves as a founding Partner at Recapitalization Partners, LLC. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for EMSI, the country’s largest provider of exam and investigative services to the insurance industry. He is also the Managing Partner of Turnaround Capital Partners which provides investment advice to institutional investors whose assets exceed $3 billion.
Prior to Recapitalization Partners, Mr. Berger was a General Partner and Co-Founder of Lindenwood Capital Partners, LP, a New York based private equity fund that invested in underperforming companies. Before Lindenwood, he founded and was President of White River Partners, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of White River Corporation (NASDAQ-listed) specializing in the acquisition and restructuring of troubled businesses. Mr. Berger served in this capacity until June 1998 when it was sold to Harvard Private Capital. He served in a similar capacity while with Fund American Enterprise Holdings Inc., being responsible for the analysis and management of distressed companies.
Mr. Berger is a graduate of Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant , Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Valuation Analyst
Nat Wasserstein
Partner, Recapitalization Partners, LLC.
Mr. Wasserstein serves as a founding Partner at Recapitalization Partners. Prior to Recapitalization Partners, Mr. Wasserstein was the President of XShares Advisors LLC, a NYSE listed member firm. He also was a General Partner and Co-Founder of Lindenwood Capital Partners, LP, a New York based private equity fund that made investments in underperforming companies. Before Lindenwood, Mr. Wasserstein was a Managing Director at White River Partners, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of White River Corporation (NASDAQ-listed) specializing in the acquisition and restructuring of troubled businesses. He served in this capacity until June 1998 when WRC was sold to Harvard Private Capital.
Mr. Wasserstein is a former restructuring officer in Global Corporate Finance at Chase Manhattan Bank. At Chase, he negotiated the restructurings of a large number of companies and was responsible for over $300 million in assets encompassing the textile & apparel, publishing, agricultural, oil & gas, automotive and chemical industries. He also directly negotiated over $200 million in recapitalization projects and was heavily involved in selecting investments for Chase’s distressed asset fund, including public and private bonds, bank loans and trade claims.
Mr. Wasserstein has served on the national board of directors for the Turnaround Management Association and is a co-founder of the turnaround consulting firm NS Wasserstein & Company, LLC.
Mr. Wasserstein is a graduate of Cornell University, has a law degree from Brooklyn Law School and an MBA from Baruch College. He is a member of both the NY and NJ Bars, holds a Series 7 NASD license and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
